Silent Library is an event based off of the MTV show of a similar name. Participants will be challenged to complete tasks (without making a sound!). If caught the librarian will shush you and you will lose points.

Miranda Cowley Heller has worked as senior vice president and head of drama series at HBO, developing and overseeing such shows as The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, The Wire, Deadwood, and Big Love.

Join author, editor, and writing coach Heather Labay for an introductory creative writing seminar. Learn how to hone your plot, character, and dialogue writing skills. All levels of experience are welcome! Registration required.

Kids will use their artistic prowess to upcycle boxes and other scrap supplies into buildings and homes, creating a mini city of Troy! Buildings will be on display in the Youth Dept.

Introduce your little ones to the world of coins, counting, and smart choices!

Japanese speakers and language students are welcome to join this friendly conversation club. 

A great way to meet friends, speak in Japanese, and share cultural activities. No need to register; drop in any time!

English language learners are invited to join us at the library to practice speaking and listening skills while making new friends in a casual, conversational atmosphere.

Parents and babies are invited to join us for this drop-in, unstructured open baby play. It is a perfect time to play and give baby an chance to interact with others while caregivers get to know one another.

Italian speakers and language students are welcome to join this friendly conversation club.

If English is not your first language, join us at the library to practice your speaking and listening skills and improve your English vocabulary in a casual, relaxed atmosphere.

To help us better manage donations, we ask all individuals wanting to donate three or more boxes of material to register for an appointment. You may arrive anytime between 10 am and 12 noon with your donation. 

Because demand for this program is high, students who register but do not attend or cancel their registration beforehand will be put on a waiting list for any future exams.
