Adult Programs
Do you ever watch a movie and need to talk about it? Join the Screen Gabbers, TPL’s film discussion club! We’ll gather bimonthly and chat about a movie--no ticket needed! Meet other film buffs, dissect iconic scenes, and discuss your favorite directors and actors. Participants can borrow the month’s movie from TPL (or Kanopy or Hoopla, if available) to watch at home before the meeting. See below for this year’s list of movies; click on the links to place a hold in our catalog.
This year's theme is From Page to Screen. We'll be watching popular films based on books. Come prepared to talk about the film (or the book, too, if you like!). For even more examples of From Page to Screen, feel free to peruse this article from Entertainment Weekly.
