Event Details

Be a superhero for shelter animals by coloring fabric squares to make quilts for Oakland County Animal Shelter, and enjoy a superhero themed party!  Quilts will line animals' cages keeping them warm this winter.  Pick up your kit at the Youth Services Desk anytime during regular library hours between 11/23 and 12/6 at 4pm!

If you can't make it to the library to pick up your kit before the program, feel free to use items from home to create your quilt square!

Suggested Items Include:

Old sheets, pillowcases or plain fabric cut into 12inch by 12inch squares for your quilt square!

Fabric markers or permanent markers to decorate your quilt square!

Construction paper or cardstock to make your own superhero mask!

Yarn, string, thread, or elastic string to tie your mask!

This program has been moved to Zoom.  We will be evaluating all youth in-person programs on a case by case basis, and may move them to Zoom.
