Discover the Kalimba with Carl Winters

Learn all about the kalimba, an African thumb piano, during this interactive performance by Carl Winters featuring Educational songs, jazz, blues, pop, rhythm & blues played on twelve kalimbas. Learn about the rich history and cultural significance of the kalimba and even have the chance to try playing one yourself! While this program is open to families, it is recommended for children ages 7+.

All family members planning to attend should register. Please arrive on time for this program. We are unable to admit attendees who arrive later than 10 minutes after the start time.

Priority registration is given to Troy Public Library card holders. If you are NOT a Troy resident, you can register without a card to be put on the pending waitlist. If there are extra spaces 1 week before the event, you may be moved to the main list.
