Event Details
Learn the art of cyanotype, a form of cameraless photography, and explore the poetic possibilities of nature-based image making. In this hands-on workshop, participants will collect and prepare plant specimens, coat paper with light-sensitive chemistry, and harness the power of sunlight to produce stunning blue-toned prints. This meditative and experimental process invites a deeper connection with nature while offering a unique approach to visual storytelling. Each participant will create two 5x7 pieces of art in this class and leave with the skills to create cyanotypes at home. Participants are encouraged to bring items from home if they wish, such as keys, small glass bottles, etc. but it’s not necessary, we will go outside and collect leaves and items from nature. Make sure to wear art clothes. All supplies provided. Registration required
