Program Description

Event Details

Join local Girl Scout, Lauren, and learn about her experiences representing Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan (GSSEM) at the 69th annual UN Commission on the Status of Women at the New York headquarters. Lauren will spotlight the United Nations and Girl Scouts' shared vision for girls' equality, advocacy, and empowerment. This discussion will highlight the connection between the UN Commission on the Status of Women and Girl Scouts, showing how both work towards the empowerment of girls. This is also a space for advocacy and action to work to create a world where every girl has the opportunity to lead, thrive, and succeed.
