A Christmas dinner conversation about his ancestors led author Terence O’Leary on a six-year journey to write three Irish Crossings novels, set during the time of the tragic Irish Potato Famine. Mr. O’Leary has woven his historical research into this presentation on “The Great Hunger,” which took the lives of over one million people and also inspired that many to travel to America in search of better lives.
