Event Details

Examine the unique challenges of uncovering the stories of female ancestors, sometimes referred to as the “hidden half of the family” by researchers and genealogists. Using the community of Troy as case study, Troy Historic Village Curator Elizabeth Thornburg will explore the genealogy and stories of local women, including several with interesting connections to some of our historic buildings and Troy’s early community leaders.
