Detroit History Club Presents: Why Is It Called That?

Ever wondered why Detroit’s streets, landmarks, and neighborhoods have such unusual names? Detroit History Club is back to explore the quirky stories and historical roots behind some of the city’s most peculiar place names. From streets to parks, uncover the fascinating tales that make Detroit’s map uniquely its own.

Priority registration will be given to Troy Public Library card holders. If you do not have a TPL issued library card, you can register without a card to be put on the Pending Waitlist. If there is space available one week before the program you will be moved to the main registration list and notified.
