Event Details

The Underground Railroad was a network of people across racial identities who helped those fleeing enslavement. Many places in Michigan were part of the Underground Railroad, and for many enslaved people, Detroit was the last stop before making their way to a free life in Canada. Join journalist and historian Ken Coleman as he discusses Detroit’s role in this secret network that aided thousands of people on their journey to freedom.
