Event Details
The city of London is a modern, thriving metropolis, a far cry from the barren deserts and deserted jungles people picture archaeologists working in. Yet the UK's capitol city contains over 6000 years of history beneath its streets, and a large number of archaeological digs. From stone tools to 17th century hospitals and unexploded WWII bombs London offers many unexpected windows into the past. This talk will offer a digger's-eye view of the city as well as a look at archaeological practice.
