We are hosting a workshop to help high school seniors and parents complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for their first year in college. As a public service, a representative from Oakland University is facilitating the workshop. Please register using the link below and follow the instructions to prepare.
More than 24 hours before you attend the FAFSA Workshop:
- Students and all parent contributors must each create their own FSA ID at studentaid.gov more than 24 hours ahead of the workshop.
- Determine which parent(s) will contribute information to the FAFSA - https://studentaid.gov/sites/default/files/is-my-parent-a-contributor.jpg
- Record each studentaid.gov login in a secure location or on Step One of the FAFSA Worksheet.
- Participants will need contributor social security numbers (if applicable), personal emails, and cell phone numbers.
- If families are unable to join the workshop on the date/time selected, they can always access OU hosted workshops open to anyone regardless of college choice on the Financial Aid Events website or read over the Paying for College Presentation
